Sr. Electrical Engineer (Philadelphia, PA and Monroe, NJ)

We are seeking qualified candidates to join our electrical design team as a Sr. Electrical Engineer.  General requirements and responsibilities may include the following:

REQUIREMENT

  • 15+ years of professional electrical engineering experience
  • BS in electrical engineering
  • PE license (a plus, but not required)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Knowledge/Proficiency in Revit
  • Proficient with Etap, Capper/Dapper or equivalent
  • Proficient in the development of specifications for UPS Systems, Emergency/Standby Generators as well as paralleling generator systems, and low and medium-voltage switchgear
  • Thorough knowledge and ability to interpret code compliance requirements and industry standards
  • Experience with the development of short circuit and selective coordination studies
  • Standard specification writing, editing and technical writing skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Capable of supervising staff and entry and mid-level engineers and designers
  • Ability to handle multiple complex assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate with members of client’s team
  • Knowledge of mixed-use, commercial, and pharmaceutical facilities 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the design of the electrical systems, equipment selection and layout throughout the life of the project
  • Provide technical assistance in the selection of equipment
  • Attend client meetings, and represent the company in a professional manner in all dealings with clients and consultants
  • Prepare and/or critically review basic deliverables and products including calculations, drawings and specifications
  • Examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects
  • Provide guidance and support for less experienced engineers
  • Attend and when necessary lead design team meetings as required
  • Establish effective supplier information handling and approval procedures and assure timely review and approval cycle of supplier drawings
  • Provide technical expertise and applications knowledge for electrical equipment
  • Maintain good working relationships with project managers and other discipline teams
  • Prepare and/or review estimates that are consistent with the project requirements and maintain complete and concise documentation for management review
  • Assist the Project Manager in establishing logic, durations and required project hours for the schedule on assigned contracts
  • Assist the Project Manager in periodically reviewing project hour forecasts to ensure they are maintained by carefully monitoring and expediting the flow of work and initiating corrective action when required

Mid Level HVAC Engineer (Philadelphia, PA)

We are seeking qualified candidates to join our mechanical design team as a mid-level HVAC engineer.  General requirements and responsibilities may include the following:

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5-10 years of experience designing mechanical equipment, facilities, components and products
  • Proficient in HVAC load calculations
  • Knowledge of energy modeling calculations a plus
  • Proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD a plus
  • Familiar with LEED requirements
  • Standard specification editing and writing specifications required
  • Knowledgeable in ductwork and all HVAC piping systems
  • Capable of leading a team of engineers and designers, planning project budgets and schedules
  • Knowledge of steam and chiller water plant engineering and design a plus
  • Basic knowledge of local and regional codes
  • Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure, Commercial, Pharmaceutical and Mission Critical Facilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • BS in mechanical or architectural engineering and/or Licensed Professional Engineer preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design duct distribution and mechanical systems and select equipment
  • Survey existing mechanical systems
  • Attend client meetings
  • Create plans and schematics, perform calculations, and prepare system narratives and specifications
  • Perform site evaluations and field investigation
  • Provide engineering support for senior mechanical engineers
  • Maintain budgets and work plans to complete projects on time and on budget
  • Work in close contact with the entire design team and attend design meetings as required

Project Manager (Philadelphia, PA and Monroe, NJ)

We have great opportunities for individuals in the A/E profession who are seeking to advance their career.  Our Philadelphia, PA  and Monroe, NJ  offices have an open position for a Project Manager.  Opportunity for advancement into a Director position.  General requirements and responsibilities include the following:

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in mechanical or electrical consulting engineering
  • Familiarity with new construction and renovation projects
  • Ability to write reports and proposals
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • BS in mechanical or electrical engineering and/or Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As the point of contact on assigned projects, performs a variety of highly skilled duties such as assembling, coordinating and managing multidisciplinary technical review teams
  • Manage the design and development of MEP/FP/IT/AS/Security construction documents
  • Interface with engineering discipline leads for proper resource allocation
  • Ensure interdisciplinary coordination
  • Direct and oversee project teams for the duration of planning, design and construction
  • Manage and control project progress throughout the design and construction administration
  • Ensure timely completion of activities and adherence to project milestones
  • Ensure adherence to internal project budgets
  • Ensure company quality assurance standards are upheld
  • Develop scope of work and fees for proposals
  • Liaise with clients and maintain client relationships

  • Assist in contract management, including scope adherence fee control and collection of receivables
